Designing spaces where memory, movement, and media meet. I work across environmental design, spatial storytelling, and AI-assisted visual production — turning site narratives into immersive spatial experiences.

I am Zhang Haotian, also known as Carl, an environmental design student at HBU-UCLAN.
My work focuses on spatial regeneration, public experience, and visual storytelling. I am interested in how forgotten sites, everyday objects, and cultural memories can be reinterpreted through design.
Rather than treating space only as a physical container, I see it as a narrative system — shaped by movement, material traces, atmosphere, and human behavior.
My current practice combines environmental design, brand communication, and AI-assisted workflows to create spatial experiences that are both visually strong and emotionally readable.

"The work demonstrates that a 21-year-old can, in fact, hold an opinion about a door. Recommend acceptance."
"I'm his mom. He cleaned his room once. The spatial sensitivity checks out."
"Good kerning on the title slide. Recommend minor revisions: fewer black t-shirts."
